User Text 1 The Ferry at Yoroi depicts a major ferry service that ran until 1872, when it was replaced by a bridge. The ferry, in the city center, served as a main crossing point on the Nihonbashi River. The name Yoroi, or “armor,” derived from an episode when famed warrior Minamoto no Yoshiie threw his armor into the river depths to appease the dragon god, ensuring his safe crossing to battle in Oshu Province.
