Copper, manganese and Alchemy gold. From Takaezu Foundation archivist Peter Russo: "2007.19.17 is a wonderful example of her 'alchemy gold' glaze. The glaze has a high concentration of manganese that under reduction, breaks into a metallic gold.", "Toshiko was very generous placing her work in museums across the country who were important to her, and the Chazen received a lovely selection of her work. She very rarely dated her work; the general dates that you have attributed to works in your collection are accurate" (see email in object file).
