User Text 1 ""August Light" reveals Hofmann in a precise, geometric mood, although his painting style often extended to a more lyrical style. Here all drawing is eliminated; instead we have rectangles of pure color - bold, simple colors, which seem to move in and out, to "push and pull," through space.
