Matteo de' Pasti

Matteo de'Pasti, worked for Sigismondo Malatesta; most of his medals are concerned with Malatesta and Isotta degli Atti. He is first known in Venice, ca. 1441, to have worked for Piero di Cosimo de'Medici on illistrations for Petrarch's "Triumphs". He worked in Verona by 1446 and superintended work on Alberti's Church of S. Francesco, Rimini, and he was accomplished as a painter, sculptor, architect and illuminator as well as a medalist. He is considered by Hill as the "most accomplished among the immediate followers of Pisanello."
